Sumya Anani
Yoga for Athletes

Soulistic welcomes back Sumya Anani, former 4x World Champion Pro Boxer and Registered Yoga Teacher at the 500 hour level through Yoga Alliance for two back-to-back workshop events. Yoga is critical for the serious athlete, whether professional or amateur, and especially for those training for marathons and triathlons during the summer race season. Yoga can improve your performance on the road, the bike and in the pool by developing focus and concentration that is necessary to explore your full potential as an athlete. Yoga develops the "warrior spirit" of willpower and perseverance needed to stay the course. A regular yoga practice is also critical to preventing injuries. Anytime a movement is repeated over and over again, you're more likely to strain and tear muscles. Yoga keeps the soft tissues soft, reduc ing or eliminating injuries altogether, allowing you to miss fewer practices and improve faster. Bring your sense of adventure and come develop the inner athlete to take you to the next level in your sport! The cost of this workshop is $25 and pre-registration is required.
